The Neighborman’s Tee

I couldn’t tell white from white
or mottled grey from cotton;
I should have
else I wouldn’t have worn his head
after the fire
and pregnant I just relax in the bath
smoking still
even though it isn’t allowed for minors
with a past of arson
or wearing the clothes of convicts sugar-cup-generous

telling again stories in trendy staccato
