People breathing all around

An exercise of spreading
the legs of other intellects
who speak without this look
of observed-enough broad shoulders
broken now in the eve of medicine.
We will all medicate for each other
to soothe or break the wills
of falling bones to not snap
in the chaos of this fumble,
this intense heart fallen crazy
shooting now its oil with only
a methodical shot for mathematics.
Counting the people whose pumps
retreat to an early morn
they, the pipers, begin their song,
and yearly since we children
medicate our wounds in our absence of will.
