Diogenes psychoanalyzed

A lone monologist wanders
from collective to yonder
lazary in which philosophers
languish deprived and famished.
Follows a record of his paraphrase:

The search for meaning
does a schizophrenic make:
all the world is allegory
as sensations sublimate:
the wisest wrings his hands
and beckons soon his grave:
youth squanders every man
who quickly greets old age:
the body is a central hive
that longs at last to pupate.
