A suicide outside of Carthage

A whore undresses (a red string
thither, where the window brings
a gathered light) to the nude—
animal behavior! She exudes
a gathered light from navel
to backside, pregnant with Abel
brought into the third century.
Murdered brother! How much plenty
shames without, and further in
the brain of the woman withers—
out from Babylon, out from rule,
she says, gasping on the sill:
I will bring this man with me
where the grounds swell and swallow—
I am a body and my body is my ego—
she scours from her quarters dust,
dabs her chest with musk and
lies down in the patted sand—
to mania she goes—the brain
manufactures its own narcotics—
God in a cell—a whore undresses
in the desert and dies in discord—
moralism on poverty—on what for—
